Yercombe News - May 2019

On Saturday 1st June 11.30am to 1.30pm we will be holding our annual summer fete. We will have many stalls including tombola, refreshments, games, books, white elephant, cakes and raffles with some wonderful prizes. Our members and staff have been working hard to create new and original items for our craft stall which we hope our supporters will like and buy. We have also begun to nurture plug plants which will hopefully grow into beautiful plants to fill our plant stall. 

As well as this we have been thinking of new ideas to make the fete slightly different this year, we have Ace Magic coming to entertain our guests. Not only this Woodford Silver Band will also be coming to play for us, which people always appear to enjoy. 

Our staff and members work really hard to create not only lovely items to sell but to make the day a success by helping with getting everything ready on the run up to the fete and manning the stalls on the day. We made a fantastic total at our Christmas fete and we are hoping to do just as well at our summer fete as the money we raise will be used to provide craft materials, entertainment, outings and other items which will enhance the facilities at Yercombe Lodge. 

We will be advertising the fete in local papers, putting out posters and signs but we would also be really grateful if our newsletter readers could spread the word 

If you have any items which you would like to donate for any of our stalls we would be really grateful. We ask that any donations are brought in the two weeks running up to the fete as we sadly do not have the space to store items for a longer period of time.
