Day Services

There are two options available to anyone wishing to attend on a per day basis. These are the Day Centre which has a structured activities led format and Day Care where you can access any of Yercombe’s residential home facilities. There is the option of dipping in and out of both options; why not take a morning in the Day Centre, take lunch and then have a nice cuppa and read the papers in the afternoon ?

Day Centre

Our experienced and enthusiastic staff make sure that the Day Centre is a vibrant place and will help Day Centre members with a wide range of exciting activities, making each visit a fun packed and rewarding experience. All activities are person centered, member led, that support and encourage members to achieve their personal development goals, whether practical, social or educational.

Among the many options available are: Cookery, Gardening, Computing, Needlework and various Arts and Crafts. Social activities include games, quizzes, outings and social events organised by the Members’ Committee.

We offer trial days (free of charge) in the Day Centre to ensure that we are able to meet your individual needs and also to ensure that you will enjoy coming to Yercombe Lodge.

Day Care

Day guests are welcome at Yercombe Lodge and can enjoy good company, many activities, and a home cooked lunch.  If they would like to they can have an assisted bath, hair dressing or book in with the chiropodist.  Guests can access our comprehensive facilities, spacious lounges, gardens and grounds and can enjoy the stunning views across the Severn Vale.

Person centred, client led activities including arts and crafts, games and puzzles and in-house entertainments are all available.

For members

Each member is assessed on an individual basis and comprehensive care plans and risk assessments are completed and reviewed regularly. Members are encouraged to be involved with bi-monthly members meetings, chaired by a staff member. Please talk with us about activities you would like to do.

Eligibility for Day Centre membership is subject to assessment by Social Services or our management team for those individuals who are privately funding or have individual budgets. We are happy to give you more information informally and welcome people to come and have a look around our services.

For families, carers and friends

We will look after your loved one with all the care and attention that you would, to give you a well-earned rest or time to do all those other things you need to do.  If you have any questions or concerns, then the first step is to get in touch, and we can chat through the ways Yercombe Lodge may be able to help you or your loved ones. We can talk over the phone or via video call to determine how best we can help, or if there is an alternative organisation that would better suit your needs. Our team is professional and friendly and will listen carefully to your needs before making any recommendations.

Day Services – how to visit

Since the Covid pandemic the Day Centre is only operating on a 3-day week.  Unfortunately, at this time we are not able to offer transport to or from the centre so members will need to get themselves to Yercombe.

Day guests are welcome to join in with any activities, may wish to have an assisted bath, can enjoy a home cooked lunch, and of course have lots of company.
