Our experienced, enthusiastic and friendly team help Day Centre members with a wide range of appropriate, worthwhile and attainable activities. Transport from Home to Yercombe is provided each day by the Stroud
Volunteer Centre Ring & Ride Bus Service.
These support and encourage members to achieve their personal development goals, whether practical, social or educational. Activities are planned,
where possible, to meet the member's individual needs in accordance with their Social Services care plan and their own preferences.
Among the many options available are: Cookery, Gardening, Woodwork, Computing, Needlework and various
Arts and Crafts including Mosaic Work
and Painting. Social activities include games, quizzes, outings and social events organised by the Members' Committee.
We also maintain close links, on the members' behalf, with other
organisations such as Social Services, employment schemes, local colleges, support groups, advocate groups and counselling services.
Eligibility for Day Centre membership is subject to assessment by Social
Services, but we are happy to give you more information informally.
